About J. Ellen Keller
In 1999, Ellen earned her B.A. in English from Miami University. Five years later, she graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law with her Juris Doctorate. That same year, she was admitted to the Ohio Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.
Ellen was drawn to become a lawyer in high school when one of her teachers told her should we make a good attorney. She is not sure if this was a compliment. With a love for reading and an ability to convince her peers of her correct position (her husband is now the beneficiary of this great talent), the profession just seemed to be a good fit for her. While she was a law school student, Ellen discovered that estate planning was the area of law she wanted to practice. Her favorite class involved taxes, something that estate planning helps people avoid.
Once Ellen graduated from law school, she began to hone her skills by working at other firms, including one that employed her friend from law school, Tina J. Barrett. In 2007, the two decided to start their own firm.
In working with Ellen, you'll quickly discover that she has several strengths that set her apart from other estate planning attorneys. She's very welcoming and approachable. J. Ellen believes in cultivating real relationships with the people she serves. She recognizes that, for most of her clients, creating a will, trust, or healthcare plan is something they've had on their to-do list for years but never got around to taking care of. The process can be a bit emotional and she's here to help you through it. Whether you're retired and in your golden years of life or just starting a family, Ellen will go out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable and safe.
